Jeffrey Steinberg – Biography

Originally from New York City where I ran a transportation business for fourteen years. I started collecting art around 1973 and have been hooked ever since.

I moved to Diamond Bar, Ca. in 1987 where I spent several years in the optical field assisting an ophthalmologist in post operative care.

In 1990, I joined a private medical company that monitored infants who were high risk candidates for (sids) Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. While in the field I was trained to do polysomography testing to try and determine causes for sids.

I moved to Pomona in 1997 when the Arts Colony was just beginning, which I was an ardent supporter.

In 1990, I was appointed by the Pomona City Council to sit on the Cultural Arts commission where I served two terms ending in 2002.

In 2005 I moved to Ontario, Ca. to manage the Emporia Arts Colony. In 2006, 2007 and 2008 I ran the Ontario Emporia Art Walks. Also in 2006 and 2007 I was hired by the (DPOA) Downtown Pomona Owners Association to manage and curate an Art Exhibition at the LA County Fair to highlight Pomona’s Art & Antique Districts.

In 2009 I was asked to sit on the (SCA) Southern California Artist’s Board.
